Now, onto the important stuff...I'm joining my first linky party!!!! I'm linking up with Teaching Trio
to give you a little insight into my week.
Here's my 3, 2, 1...
Three things I HAVE to do:
1. I am in DIRE need of a haircut and highlight! I have an appointment on Thursday at noon. My MIL is watching BP for a couple hours and I'm going to get beautified!! Awww-Yeah!
2. The hubs and I are going to a Ducks Unlimited event on Saturday night. We are double dating with another couple and bringing the baby. Mr. C is an avid fisherman and hunter. Ducks Unlimited is a Wetlands & Waterfowl Conservation organization. This is his dream date night! We went last year and I won a shotgun...yes, a shotgun...I would have preferred a Coach purse, but Mr. C was SUPER excited!!
3. Wegmans, Wegmans, oh how I love thee! If you've never been to a Wegmans you are missing out on an amazing experience. I know some may not agree, but man, I love that place! We recently moved and the closest Wegmans is 30 minutes away. I think I went through withdrawal when we first moved here...but I get my fix by going every other weekend. I look forward to this trip all week!! I've already got my list made, grocery bags by the door, and am hoping the roads will be cleared this afternoon.
Two things I HOPE to do:
1. I hope I can get to the 11:00 church service. It's been a couple weeks since we've gone...it's been too cold to bundle up a 2 month old. Be kind, don't judge.
2. I'm really hoping to try a Stroller Strides this week. They meet at 9:20 am at a local mall. I need SOMETHING to kickstart this body back into shape.
One thing I'm HAPPY to do:
1. I hate the cold!!! Let me repeat...I. HATE. THE. COLD. I am more than happy to take care of BP, sit on my chaaaaaise, and stay warm while Mr. C shovels a foot of snow off the driveway, off the deck, off the sidewalk...you get it.
Something for your Sunday enjoyment...
Hi Tara! Welcome to The Sunday Scoop and blogging! Your blog design is adorable.
ReplyDeleteWEGMANS is amazing! We have one ten minutes away. When my kids were little, we'd go there for entertainment...the train that ran all along the ceiling, the six-foot sculptures made out of chocolate or butter- depending upon what department you were in, the WALL OF CANDY, the Christmas Trees throughout the store during the holidays... Love! Oh, I've always wanted a chaise lounge! :)
❤Firstgradebloomabilities❤
Thanks, Lisa! I have to admit, the chaise is the L on our couch...but before we even bought it, I claimed it as my seat!!! Happy Sunday!
DeleteI love your blog design. I do not live near a Wegmans nor heard about them until now. I love the winter weather when it is cool, not the Arctic type of weather

The Dots of Teaching
Jasmine, I agree! Winter wouldn't be so bad if it wasn't so cold...brrrr!! And, if it's going to be cold, it might as well snow. I hope one day you can have the Wegmans experience;)
DeleteHooray, you joined! My hair is in need of some help too, but I've got to wait one more week for an appointment. The good news is, it's usually in a bun on top of my head before 10am most days anyway!
ReplyDeleteWegmans, oh Wegmans! I did live hear one when I was in NY and I know just how wonderful it is. I WISH we would get one here in VA, but for now, I'm totally excited because they are finally putting a Whole Foods in here!
I was going to say that a shotgun can save your life and a purse can't, but then I considered the weight of my Michael Kors that is sitting on the counter. I'm pretty sure I could knock someone out with it if needed! ;-)
I hope that your week is fantastic! I know that you are out of the classroom right now. Maybe you could think of some of the things that you did to prep for your absence and share that in a blog post. I know some teacher who would totally appreciate some posts with tips for prepping for maternity leave! Just an idea!
Mrs O Knows
Rachel, thank you so much for visiting my blog!!! I LOL'd at your purse comment!! I agree, my purse is HUGE and HEAVY! I'll think about the sub prep for my maternity leave. The thing is, he came 3 weeks early...I can't say I was fully prepared for the sub:) Have a great week!
DeleteCute video! I also do not like the cold at all! It has been really cold here - much colder than usual. But today is much better. We had to shovel today too but only about 10 cm. Spring must be close by... Have a great day!

Thanks for visiting! Spring is less than one month away...we can do it!!
DeleteThere is nothing like a fresh haircut to make the cold just disappear...at least for a little while...lol. Here's wishing you a great week (Wegman's sounds wonderful, btw!) and warmer temps soon...

ReplyDeleteThanks, Beth! I had a great trip to Wegmans! Took the babe with me, that was an experience:)
DeleteLoved the video...how funny! I want one. The snow keeps missing us in Wisconsin. We just get the COLD. BRRRR. Love your picture on your blog...love summer with my kiddos. Every moment counts. They get big fast! Sun and naps sound good!
ReplyDeleteRenee at The Science School Yard
Thanks, Renee! I say, if it's going to be cold, bring on the snow!!! I can't wait for this summer! We recently moved and we now have a pool in our community! Can't wait to bring BP in the afternoons! Have a great week:)
DeleteMy hubby was nice enough to shovel snow/ice yesterday! I thought ahead this year and bought him L.L. Bean snow boots for Christmas. He is at least staying warm while he shovels. :)
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your little one and never worry about keeping him inside and warm. Mommy knows best.
Have a great week!

Luckily, my husband doesn't mind either. He just bought a new winter jacket that is crazy, warm!!! I've thought about borrowing it but it's camo :) Have a great week too!
DeleteHi Tara,
ReplyDeleteAs I was reading your post I was thinking "she must live in the DC/VA/MD area. Then I got to the part about Wegmans and I knew! I used to live and teach in Fairfax County, VA. I LOVED Wegmans. Oh how I missed it when we moved to Seattle. There's nothing like it there! Now I'm in the Bahamas and I miss everything... ha ha! Congrats on your little man. I'm a stay at home momma for another 10 months at least. I have a 7 year old and 4 year old. Have a great week!
Joya :)
Oh, Joya, what I wouldn't give to live in the Bahamas!!! I'm sure there are a lot of amenities we take for granted, that you don't have. But, what I wouldn't give for the weather, those beaches....awwwww...I'm picturing myself there now! Enjoy your week!!
DeleteToday was my first Sunday's Scoop too!!! I have to say for a newbie your blog looks FANTASTIC. I am a tad bit jealous that I just have the plain ole' blogger template. I do not even know where to begin with this stuff. We just had a week off of school here in Louisville KY because of snow. It was a nice break, but I'd prefer the days off in the summer. Have a great week cuddling your little guy!
ReplyDeleteI bet your husband is hoping you win again this year! Hope you make it to stroller strides this week. I did many laps around our local mall back when my guy was little. Have a great week!
